Hi, I'm Nikki

Strength coaching. AF Regional Leader. Advocate for ageing well.

Your body has a history. A story. An adaptation to every level of this game of life you've moved through so far. It's been through things, and niggles are more than likely part of the package. That doesn't mean strength, movement and feeling good in your body aren't for you. It simply means you need a different approach. A coach who gets it, without the noise and distraction of a typical gym environment. Curious but hesitant? That's completely valid. All you need to do is show up, and I'll take care of the rest.

The philosophy

Strength is ageless

It's not a marketing line. It's the thing the research, the bodies, and the lived experience all keep telling me.

  • Safe. Every session scales to the body in front of me. Mechanics first, load second. We work hard, but we work smart.
  • Seen. You're never lost in a crowd. Session capacities are small for a reason. Your story, your goals, your wins — tracked, remembered, celebrated.
  • Heard. Communication on your terms. Banter if you want banter. Quiet focus if today's a quiet day. Your call, every session.

Adverting, loss, and an inconvenient calling

10 Years in! What brought me here?

Like a lot of young Aussies, I moved to London at 21 and somehow ended up in gym membership sales (better than a usual pub job, I guess). Once back home, a friend-of-a-friend landed me a job in TV advertising, pretty sure I only got it because I was free on a Monday. Twelve years later, I was good at it. But I wasn’t well.

The turning point came when I lost my big sister. Watching my ageing parents made something click. I enrolled in my fitness certs purely to help them, and a personal mission quietly became a career change at 33.

My first mentor, Joe, pushed me out of my comfort zone early, and my first clients did the rest. Shoulder bursitis, hip issues, brain injuries, wheelchairs. I learned fast that real coaching means adapting, not just programming, and that nobody should ever feel inadequate for where their body is right now.

Discovering Animal Flow deepened that understanding completely. It showed me how truly connected the body is, and how disconnected we become through repetitive movement patterns, long periods of no movement at all, or simply the wear of living. Those gaps don’t make you broken. They just show us where to start.

I’ve also witnessed firsthand how a decline in physical health directly correlates with a decline in mental health and confidence. The two are inseparable - and that’s exactly why this work matters!

My niche found me gradually, then my dad made it official - his hip replacement recovery - humbling, frustrating, and one of the most rewarding things I’ve done. That opened the door to more stories. A client washing her own hair after a frozen shoulder. Decades of knee pain gone just in time for a holiday.

These are the people I love coaching. They show up, work hard, and watching their confidence grow never gets old. Today I want to help you get started too.

★ Fuel Woman of the Year 2025

Recognised by my industry. Specifically for this work.

In 2024, although excitedly terrified, I was invited to present on stage and speak about extending an invitation to the older demographics into gyms and studios. In 2025 I was named Fuel Woman of the Year for my work with the ageing fitness community.

"Aging isn’t about getting ‘old’ - it’s about staying capable. Let’s be real, most people don’t need another ‘build a booty’ program. They need to get off the floor, the couch, or out of bed without making a gazillion sound effects. They need to carry groceries without a second thought and move the BBQ without throwing out their back. Now that’s real strength!" From my Fuel Summit speech, 2024
